Terms of Service

Effective June 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of Broken Bot (brokenbot.games), a research and entertainment tool run by Yulia Winslow, an individual based in New York, USA ("I" or "me"). By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Broken Bot.

What Broken Bot is

Broken Bot is a game built around fast, instinctive responses to prompts. It's designed for research into associative and cognitive patterns, and for entertainment. It is not a medical, psychological, diagnostic, or therapeutic service, and nothing it produces is professional advice.

Eligibility (18+)

You must be at least 18 years old to use Broken Bot or create an account. By using the site, you confirm that you are 18 or older. The content can be intense or provocative by design, and some material is intended for adults.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and let me know at info@theoryofvalues.com if you suspect unauthorized use. I may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or violate these terms.

Free games and paid access

Broken Bot offers a limited number of free games. Beyond that, continued access may require payment. Payments are handled by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Prices and limits may change, and I'll reflect changes on the site. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

When using Broken Bot, you agree not to:

Game limits exist to prevent abuse and dependency; circumventing them is a violation of these terms.

Your responses and content

You keep ownership of the responses you submit. By submitting them, you grant me permission to store and process them to operate the service and to study associative and cognitive patterns, including in aggregated or anonymized form. How responses are handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Broken Bot, its prompts, the underlying 12 Universal Principles framework, text, and design are owned by me and protected by applicable law. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, reproduce, or build on the prompts, framework, or content without permission.

Third-party services

Broken Bot relies on third-party service providers — for hosting, data storage, payments, analysis, email, and analytics — to function. The specific providers are listed in the Privacy Policy. Their availability and their own terms are outside my control, and I'm not responsible for their acts or omissions.

No warranties

Broken Bot is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. I don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis it produces is accurate or meaningful for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Broken Bot. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid (if any) for access in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and termination

I may update, change, or discontinue the service or these terms at any time. The effective date above shows the latest version, and continued use after changes means you accept them. You can stop using Broken Bot at any time and ask to close your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts located in New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
